Alternative Energy- With today’s rising fuel costs engineers are seeking opportunities to alternative energy. One of the arguments society has is that we should tap into our oil reserves and keep on with tradition. Also some of latest companies that specialize it alternative energies have failed and went bankrupt even after government subsidies. Although as a society we need to save money and that also impacts the planet.
Transportation- Engineers and municipalities are seeking ways to transfer people cheaper and more environmentally friendly. They are trying design high-speed rails and more fuel efficient cars. The problem is that the technology is expensive and many people do not want to pay for it.
Military Defense Technology- Engineers are trying to develop high tech ways to keep our troops safe. Mechanical engineers are trying to develop robots to help troops carry out day to day jobs and dangerous jobs. This technology is not cheap and many people do not want to pay for it. The level of technology needs to be increased to help lots troops. The technology needs to engineered to make it cheaper to allow for purchase contracts to buy more for the money. The technology is not just in robots, but also in weapon technology, and armor.
The advances in military technology have been staggering since the start of the war. This is an interesting topic to work with.

ReplyDeleteWith the condition of the transportation framework of our country in dire update and repair, US citizens need to know up front what it will take to bring us into the 21st century. We should have public transportation more like Europe or Japan. If even our roads,railways,and freeways were acted on what a difference.
